This Privacy Policy describes how Wishly, a birthday reminder app by Amantech (“we”, “the app”), collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information we collect

Account data: When you register, we store your email address, a hashed password, and any profile name you provide. If you sign in with Google, we receive and store your email and name from Google.

Contacts and events: With your permission, the app can read device contacts (e.g. names and birthdays) to import them. We store events (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) and groups you create on our servers so you can use them across devices.

Device and usage: We do not collect analytics or advertising identifiers by default. Our backend may log request metadata (e.g. IP, timestamps) for operation and security.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to provide the app’s features: authentication, syncing events and groups, sending reminders (if you enable notifications), and supporting sign-in with Google.

3. Data storage and security

Account and event data are stored on our backend. Passwords are hashed; we do not store plain-text passwords. We use industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest.

4. Third parties

We use Google Sign-In for optional account login. Google’s privacy policy applies to that sign-in flow. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Your choices and rights

You can delete your account from within the app (or by contacting us). You may request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us at the support email below.

6. Children

Wishly is family- and children-friendly and is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in a way that requires parental consent beyond what is needed for the app’s features.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
